We’d made an unplanned stop to see the tulips and found the room warm and welcoming. The owner was so kind, and even cooked meat for us over charcoal, which made for a really enjoyable meal. Our one-night stay was lovely. If you visit Vintage, don’t miss Dushik, the singing dog who performs while the owner plays harmonica!
At Vintage House Pension, the winter coast has a lovely atmosphere, with fresh air and pretty scenery. The Flower & Light Festival site is very close, just a 1 to 2 minute drive. Guests also get a 50% discount coupon for Resom Spa Castle. On weekdays, a room for two costs 30,000 won, half the price of a motel.
For what you pay, I guess it’s acceptable, but calling it vintage is a stretch, it’s just old. The water pressure is weak, and the blankets, pillows, and towels all smell. Both remotes had dead batteries, so I had to switch the TV on and off by hand. I’d spend a little more and stay somewhere else.
We had a really good time with the family. The building is a little old, but that didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves. The barbecue area is greenhouse-style, so it stayed warm and wasn’t cold at all.
I’ve stayed at a lot of resorts and pensions, and this is the first one that charged an extra fee for an 18-month-old. Even airlines don’t charge for babies under 24 months. It seems like anyone who isn’t very clean would have trouble staying here.
