For £33 a night, the amenities and service were reasonable. But I wouldn’t recommend it to a woman traveling alone. Some unsettling encounters with male guests left me feeling very unsafe, and a lock in my room had been replaced but didn’t work. I was frightened for my life. Management came to repair it right away, but I was still scared.

The communal laundry room was a real convenience, and U Mart is nearby. There’s also a CU convenience store on the first level with a huge range of items and plenty of seating, handy for quick meals and meeting up. Staff were very helpful, speaking Korean and basic English, and toiletries included sachets of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel that felt soothing and pH-balanced. At CS Primer Hotel in Anyang-si, rooms are reasonably priced for a weeklong stay for couples. They’re compact but well-equipped, with firm beds that may not suit everyone, though I slept well. The balcony is generously sized. I barely used it in winter, but it seems great for summer. Housekeeping could be a little better, but that’s a small issue given the value in the Anyang district of Gyeonggi-do.

The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly, and there was even a nice view at the back of the hotel. It can get crowded with Chinese guests, so get up early for breakfast.

The breakfast buffet was good, and the hotel looked clean and well kept.
