Plein Hotel

A shabby motel for short stays, and not suited to tourists. My room was tiny, noisy, dirty, and smelled of smoke.

Nice atmosphere.

The room was freezing when we arrived for a party room booking with friends, and the heating barely worked. Less than two hours into our stay, the power went out. The staff handled it so poorly that we lost nearly 3-4 hours and had to change rooms twice. Even in the second room, it was so cold we stood shivering by the heater just to warm our hands. Then sparks came from the power adapter and it caught fire. We panicked and evacuated. We called staff right away, but got no proper response. Things only got resolved after we shouted for them to switch off the circuit breaker. It was terrifying, and I felt my life was in danger. This is the worst accommodation I've ever stayed in. Places like this should be banned from operating. Absolutely don't go there.

I travel for business around the country, and I don't recommend Plang. The rooms look decent inside and out, but I often found debris underfoot, dust along floor edges away from the main paths, and more dust around and underneath furniture and amenities. Some rooms are enclosed in a way that makes ventilation difficult. Hallway noise carries right into the room, and the door feels like one from a goshiwon (small, inexpensive room rental room). I can't speak to the room prices since those are company policy, but they seem high compared with places of the same class. I guess the high rent in the area may explain that. The issues below are from my stays at various accommodations, not Plang, so please don't mistake them for complaints about Plang. I hope the list may be useful: 1. Poor cleaning, including dust along floor edges and grime on bathroom floors 2. Hair or body hair on bedding 3. Lights that have switches but don't turn on 4. Poor sink drainage, leaving foam behind 5. Tables, chairs, and other furniture that creak or wobble 6. Cigarette or sewer smells, possibly from a faulty trap 7. Smells from the air conditioner
