The hot spring water was wonderful, and the kindness we received throughout the stay really moved us. We spent three days here for my mother's 80th birthday. They were so thoughtful from the moment we booked, arranging everything perfectly, and their warm smiles made us feel at ease. If we get back to Korea, we'd happily stay again. After a day of walking, it was great to soak at the annex's lovely onsen spa. The counter staff were friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it.

The hotel felt peaceful and pleasant, with a library book cafe and courtyard where we could spend time. It has a small number of rooms, and the hallways are unusually wide, with rooms along just one side. I'd put the stay a star or two above the usual Marriott or IHG hotels I use for work and personal trips. We had a two-bedroom family suite. The fridge was stocked with enough bottled water, juice, and snacks for four adults for a day. I hadn't seen the two bottle sterilizers for cups and wine glasses before. The door was very thick, about 10 inches, and we couldn't hear the hallway or neighboring room. We chose The Annex mainly for the Aragonite hotspring, and it lived up to expectations. There were cold, warm, and hot baths for different preferences. I also tried a foot dryer after washing up for the first time. We visited several times over several days, and it wasn't crowded. Breakfast changed a little each morning, so there was always something new to try. The mix of Western and Korean food suited everyone's appetite, and I got to try squid ink bread for the first time. We were always seated by the iconic pond, where geese and ducks were having breakfast too.

The front desk staff were polite and spoke fluent English, and there's a convenience shop beside them that's open 24 hours. Hardly anything to complain about.
