Boryeong (Daecheon) Mud Beach Hotel

For budget travelers, this is an easy recommendation. The facilities are clean and fairly new, the price is reasonable, and the view across Dae cheon beach is great.

October 9, 2025 I was looking to book at Starbucks around 4 PM for 120,000 won, which seemed like a good deal for the location. The suggested price then rose to 160,000 won, but I went ahead with the reservation. Parking is tight. There's limited space above ground, and the basement has just one entrance and exit, so it's cramped and car doors could get dinged. The rooms are on the 6th floor and use a single card lock. The bathrooms are villa-style, and the rooms generally feel outdated. There's no bidet or smart TV features, the balcony has an outdoor unit but no table, and USB charging is slow. The worst part was the noise all night from beach busking and drunk patrons.

The view is good with the beach right in front, and there's a nearby food alley where the food was decent. It was somewhat noisy from the busking out front, maybe because there was a festival, and the parking lot is small. Still, it was a reasonably good place overall, fine for staying or just sleeping.

The front desk staff were seriously inadequate. They didn't know enough about the accommodation, and their ability to handle things was very poor.
