Asti Hotel Busan Station

Busan station for KTX is right beside the hotel, which is very convenient. But the Metro line doesn’t connect well, so we took taxis everywhere for our attraction visits each day. Being near the station turned out to be pretty useless for us.

I expected more from a hotel presented as 4-star. I’ve stayed at some 3-star places with better rooms, so I probably would’ve rated this higher if it didn’t claim that category. The KTX is very close, which is a plus. In the room, the sink was outside the bathroom. That setup exists elsewhere, but here the pipes made noise when water drained, and my sink was slow enough that a blockage seemed obvious. You can also see the drain under the sink in the room. There was a used tissue beside the toilet when I arrived, clearly missed during cleaning, and it made me question how clean the room was. I appreciated the reusable cups for drinks and the bathroom after that. They didn’t provide body lotion, and extra water bottles cost money. Little details didn’t feel 4-star either, like the uneven lift button signage. I can’t confirm it, but it didn’t look like there was a smart TV, and it’s 2025. The shower temperature kept swinging from very hot to cold. I can’t imagine bathing there in winter.

I haven’t stayed here myself, but I looked around the lobby and restaurant while I was guiding my tourists. It’s very close to Busan Station, which seems handy for travelers.

They can store guests’ luggage, and it’s easy to find food nearby, with a McDonald’s, other eateries, and convenience stores close by. The Busan Metro and KTX are also very near, which makes getting around convenient. The drawbacks for me were the low quality beds. The mattress pads were too soft, and I could hear the springs at night. The shower area was cramped and not very usable. There was no welcome drink or water either. I’d probably try another hotel next time.
