The location is the one bright spot, since the subway is very close and shopping is convenient. The rest made the stay difficult. There’s no elevator, so you have to haul your luggage upstairs, and after a day of shopping that’s exhausting. The shower system was broken, small insects were in the room, and it took ages for hot water to come through, only for it to turn cold partway through a shower. The curtains are a single layer of white sheer fabric that lets in all the light, so morning light woke us up. Sound carries badly too: we could hear people next door and diners talking at the 24-hour restaurant downstairs. The neighboring room’s door also gets in the way, so when it’s open we can’t open our own door to leave.
