Baymond Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice, and the rooftop views keep me coming back. The pool, hot tub, and heated pool are usable even in winter, with a sauna too. It’s an easy place to relax, with comfortable beds and pillows. There’s a good choice of food nearby, and you’re close to the beach and Haeundae nightlife. Other major neighborhoods are a short taxi ride away. Room size depends on the kind of trip you’re taking, but the bathrooms are spacious and have double sinks, which is unusual in this area at this price. One of my favorite hotels in Korea, and the value is far better than I expected.

We checked out within an hour and booked at the Signiel instead. The rooms felt outdated, had no windows, and the air conditioning didn’t work. The staff were unhelpful, and the place looked nothing like the photos. I also saw many reviews describing housekeeping staff stealing guests’ belongings. I’d avoid Baymond Hotel and wouldn’t book a stay here.

The rooftop pool was great, and the location is right in the center. Nare from the restaurant was especially lovely, always so kind. Thanks to her! :)

The hotel is beautiful and the location is great, but I wouldn’t choose it for the pool again. It seemed set up for families and small kids. Even around sunset, children were splashing, shouting, and jumping in, while adults trying to swim and have a drink couldn’t really enjoy it. The chair arrangements were strange too. Staff decided when and where people could sit. If a group of four was on the list for chairs, smaller groups couldn’t use other chairs, even when several single ones were sitting empty. As a solo traveler, or if you want a quiet drink by the pool or to sunbathe, this isn’t the spot.
