Hostel Kpop

The room was spacious for such a central location, and mostly clean. There’s a kitchen with basic supplies by reception. Laundry is free, and there are lots of drying racks on the rooftop. You can leave used towels and take fresh ones whenever you need them. A kettle in the room would’ve been handy, but taking the lift to the kitchen to boil water wasn’t too much trouble. There’s also a pleasant riverside path around the corner for a walk or run. Nice hostel in a really good location!

For the price, this place is absolutely worth it. It’s easy to get to, the location is great, and the rooms are clean with working AC and hot water. Noise from neighboring rooms wasn’t too bad. They provide reusable slippers and shower shoes, which I appreciated since the bathroom and shower are connected. There’s just one elevator, and it’s a little slow. Rooms are on floors 3-7. The mattresses are quite hard and not great for side sleepers, and there aren’t any outlets beside the beds. The hand towels are small, and the curtains let in quite a bit of morning sun, so you might need a sleep mask.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Towels are self-service, and you can pick up extra towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, and other things near reception. Our decent-sized double room had heated floors and air conditioning. It was clean apart from a wet-clothes smell that came in if we left without closing the bathroom door. For a cheap stay, the location was really nice. Myeongdong was a 15-minute walk away, and Line 2 station was five minutes on foot, with connections to most of Seoul’s tourist spots.

Helpful staff, and good value for what we paid. The room was okay for two, even though it was a family room that fits three or four. Bathroom was in good condition with a good shower 🤭. Plenty of restaurant options nearby, including Dominos, and the station is a 5-10 minute walk away.
