Busan Beach Hotel Busan Songdo

The staff were kind, and everything else was great, but finding the place and getting around took some figuring out. We arrived late at night, and the man at the front desk handed me a key without checking my passport, which worried my friend about security. The hotel is remote, and on our first day the taxi driver left us at a scary-looking abandoned building by mistake. Google Maps had very few photos and none clearly showed the exterior, just the building's side. We eventually found the right place. I didn't realize until our last day that Jagalchi was the closest subway station, over a 40-minute walk away. Luckily, taxis in Korea are cheap, so my friend and I used them everywhere. UBER couldn't find the hotel, so we had to enter the nearby frozen food factory's address instead. Depending on the wind, a fishy smell from that factory sometimes reached the balcony. There were Korean guests too, and both the breakfast lady and the man at reception were very kind. The website's ocean-view balcony photos sold me on the hotel right away. I'd stay here again for a long stay in Busan, and hope it does well, adds more breakfast options, and installs a washing machine. I'm a bit of a clean freak and hate putting dirty clothes in my suitcase. The nearest laundromat was a 30-minute walk away.

The room was neat and spacious, but the stay really spoiled my holiday. The hotel is in an industrial area, nowhere near the beach, and breakfast basically didn't exist. We weren't allowed to adjust the aircon setting, and there were no bath towels. I had to ask for towels again the next day.

The rooms have an incredibly good view, and the atmosphere is pleasant. But the furnishing, sheets, and towels felt poor for the price. Breakfast was listed as included, yet there was no notice that the service had been cancelled.

Markets are nearby and easy to reach with a quick cab ride. I stayed two nights in a clean, nice room with a beautiful view, and loved hearing the ocean and boats go by. The owner spoke good English, and all the employees were polite and helpful. Breakfast had eggs, salad, sausage, yogurt, and coffee. I would've preferred more Korean-style food, since other places I've stayed serve much the same breakfast. Rice, eggs, kimchi, and soup, maybe? Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay. If you like fishing, people fish from the pier at night.
