The price is reasonable, but I didn’t find the room suited to a comfortable night’s sleep. The bed felt cheap, hard, and uncomfortable. Lighting was a problem too: the bedside mood light was too bright, but turning off the night light left the room too dark, so I ended up using my phone light. The central ceiling light was a glaring circular spot, also too bright to use. The windows had no curtains and were blackout, so forgetting to set an alarm could mean oversleeping. I’m not sure whether the concept was designed around a low budget from the start, but it didn’t work well for sleeping. The bathroom was clean and maintained, though the child-sized toilet seat didn’t fit properly or stay secure. It rocked and made noise whenever I sat down. There was plenty of shampoo, conditioner, body care, toothbrushes, and condoms, but no bath towels, so I couldn’t shower properly. There’s no ocean view of Gwangalli Beach. A nearby raw fish shop also made the area feel a bit scary late at night for women.
