Busan Nampo Billy Hotel

We had to wait 30 minutes for someone to show up at the receptionist desk. Then we were told the owner wanted us to check in by texting her while we stood in the world's smallest lobby. The hotel is listed twice, as "Billy" and "Billy Hotel," too. The owner hijacked the Expedia profile names of everyone in our 11 person group to post 10 star reviews on their behalf, supposedly under the guise of a discount. We had to contact Expedia to get the posts removed and file a complaint. It was almost laughable that the reviews were in Korean and attached to all our non-Korean accounts. We paid 10,000 per pet per night and were then cornered into paying another 20,000 upfront for what was apparently pet room cleaning. We also paid for parking for two vehicles, 10,000 a night for an SUV and 20,000 a night for a van. Parking meant being comfortable reversing into tight spaces full of garbage, if there was a spot at all. We got one on day one, but on day two had to park on the side of the road. When we texted the owner about it, she just sent directions to a garage two blocks away. None of the rooms had working air-conditioning, and the owner ignored requests to fix it. We had to leave the windows open for cool air, but it rained throughout our stay. On one side of the hotel, rain poured into the room. On the other, there was the smell of open sewer lines. Traffic noise made it hard for all of us to sleep. The bed was on a wooden box and had no give, like sleeping on a concrete floor. At checkout, the owner texted someone in our group saying his card had to be run again. She couldn't be bothered to come to the hotel, so she had him go into the reception area and use the POS to run his own card for her.

Parking was easy, and the location was convenient. The staff handled requests quickly and were friendly. The room was tidy and very clean, with bedding in great shape and enough quiet for a good night's sleep. It felt comfortable to relax there, and the price was great for what we got. I'd definitely stay again.

I had a short trip here and slept well. The room was clean, and the area was convenient but quiet at night, which made it easy to relax.

Check-in and settling in were easy, and the relaxed feel of the place stood out. The room was clean and the location worked well.
