Busan Station Dino Hotel

My reservation was canceled without my permission, then the same room appeared again for almost twice the price. I felt misled and disrespected as a guest. I'm extremely disappointed with Dino Hotel, won't return, and can't recommend it.

Busan Station Metro is just outside, so it's an easy location to get around from, and the room price was decent. The hotel is new, and the furniture still looks brand new. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was okay, though you can find better food outside. I noticed only reception could speak English, not the maids or the cook. If you need anything, ask reception before they head home for the night.

The manager made our stay especially easy. When rain disrupted our plan to walk to the station for the train to Seoul, he tried to arrange a taxi and, when that fell through, found another guest willing to drive us the short distance. He was quick to sort out other issues too, and we really appreciated his help. The room was clean, a decent size, and had what we needed, including strong WiFi, good AC, and our favorite, the bidet toilet. We stayed two nights, with Busan Station and the metro within walking distance. Texas Street was easy to point out to taxi drivers. There are lots of bars nearby, so it doesn't feel family-friendly at night, though daytime seemed fine. China Town is right next door, with popular restaurants that draw long lines and also exhibits and a museum. The hotel is small but didn't feel cheap, and the Koreans we met were friendly and helpful.

There are people around, so the area felt relatively safe to me despite comments that it can seem a little sleazy. The hotel itself is clean and nicely done, and it's very close to the Line 1 entrance at Busan Station, which made getting to the main attractions easy. Breakfast is free from 7 to 9 in the morning, and they stop serving right at 9.
