Busan View Hotel Busan Station

We ended up scrambling for a new place to stay during a peak period, when concert demand had sent prices across Busan soaring. That was incredibly stressful. We’d booked in January, right after BTS announced their concert, to get accommodation early. By June our reservation was still confirmed and had even been charged to my friend’s credit card. We had no reason to think it wouldn’t be honored. We knew there were widespread reports of Busan hotels cancelling bookings during the concert period to sell rooms again at higher prices. Still, we hadn’t received a cancellation notice, and my friend had contacted the hotel a month before our arrival about an extra guest charge without anyone mentioning a problem. We had two separate bookings, one night in a twin room and four nights in a family VIP room. When we told the front desk about our booking for the next day, we were suddenly told it had been cancelled, with no warning. The staff were extremely unhelpful and made no real effort to explain or fix things. We raised it with Agoda, where we’d booked, but got more excuses and no real resolution. The exact same room was still listed online at 7-8x the price we’d paid, which strongly suggests it was cancelled so it could be resold for more. The one night we stayed was uncomfortable too. I had an allergic reaction that seemed consistent with dust mites. The whole thing felt irresponsible, unfair, and exploitative. I can’t recommend this hotel or Agoda, or trust their booking integrity.

The location is the one thing this place has going for it. After a long day in Busan, staying here just made things worse. The building feels like it’s coming apart: a broken door hinge, torn chairs, dirty walls, and cracked elevator tiles. One photo even showed a tissue tucked inside the light fixture. Our chair had a large rip, too. We booked the king room, which had three bunk beds, and found dirt, stains, and holes on the blankets and mattress. They only provide small towels, and we saw staff using towels of the same type to clean the floor. Check-in isn’t until 4 p.m. It’s cheap for a reason, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here to save money. Don’t trust the positive reviews, they’re misleading.

The rooms were fairly clean, though there were marks on the walls, and the bathroom itself was clean too. It did have a strong sewer odor, but that smell seems to be all around the neighborhood. The room has basic amenities, but there was no kettle or slippers. The location is very convenient, close to the station, Chinatown, restaurants, and cafes.

The sheets and duvet had stains, and the towels were much too small. The only real plus is the hotel's proximity to the station. We arrived to check in at 19:30, but the room wasn't ready. After we waited in reception for more than 30 minutes, the staff member covering the desk went to clean it. It took another 20 minutes before we could get into the room. We stayed one night and woke to a large puddle on the floor, with water coming in through the window frame.
