Dynamic Guesthouse

The mattresses were great, and the location was good, with a lovely view and a very comfortable place. But socially it felt awkward, like I was in someone else's home rather than a hostel. I could see the owner's hard work, yet I kept feeling apologetic for no reason. There wasn't really a social vibe, and my luggage was moved without my permission. Good city and location, just a bit uncomfortable socially.

When I decided to leave and told them, the host later messaged, “OMG you left? Why😢” That felt completely unprofessional for a business. I travel around Korea a lot and have never left a negative review before, but this place was a disappointment. It was very hard to find, with no clear signs and a hidden-feeling entrance. Even GPS didn't make it easy to know where to go. The listing said “private bathroom,” but it was actually shared, which is misleading and unacceptable. My room smelled bad. I politely asked to switch rooms, but staff denied there was an issue and said people have different senses of smell. That was a strange response and made communication, and trusting the place and owner, difficult. I can't recommend it. Avoid.

The apartment was nice, with good amenities, and getting there was easy thanks to the location. The owner was polite and communicated well. Laundry was available for a small fee, with soap included, and there was a spot to hang clothes to dry. I stayed almost a year ago and forgot to review. The one downside was lights-out exactly at midnight. If you're chatting with other guests, it cuts things off abruptly and kills the conversation, especially since midnight feels early.

Breakfast is simple: bread is put out in the morning, while eggs are in the fridge for you to cook yourself, with jam too. They leave a small clean hand towel each day. The atmosphere is warm and homelike, and the city view from the top floor is incredible. It can be a nice way to meet other travelers. It's on the 36th floor, so finding it can be a little tricky, but asking the security guard downstairs helps. The nearest subway station is conveniently close. It's a cozy, welcoming Busan stay and good value for the price.
