Fairfield by Marriott Busan

Fairfield by Marriott Busan was a comfortable place to stay from 21 to 24 February 2026. The location made it easy to get to nearby attractions and amenities, and I felt safe thanks to the reassuringly well-managed security. My room stayed clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with housekeeping keeping it spotless each day. The counter staff were polite, attentive, and friendly, which made both check-in and check-out easy and welcoming. I’d gladly recommend the hotel to visitors to Busan.

The location is excellent, there’s plenty to do nearby, the staff were accommodating, and the price was good. I also thought the breakfast buffet was good value for Korea. The rooms are tiny, so expect to feel cramped, especially with luggage. The building’s air conditioning was locked, leaving the room hot and stuffy with no air circulation. It was 27 on arrival, so we kept the window open around the clock and used a mini AC unit from the front desk to make it livable.

The room was tiny and had no space for luggage, and watch out for the sharp bed edges. I averaged one nasty cut a day from them, a real welcome-home gesture. Traffic was very clear all night until 3 am every day, even from the 15th floor, because of the location and poor sound insulation. The Hyeundae location is good and staff were generally friendly and helpful, but the stay wasn’t pleasant or one I’d recommend. The sharp edges could also be a safety hazard.

They switch off the AC at night and expect guests to open the window because some guests say it’s too cold. My room warmed up and I slept badly. I’d booked a high floor and king bed, but for $180USD a night the room was very small, and the view was blocked and awful, as the photo shows. One of the worst stays I’ve had at a Marriott group hotel. I suggest staying somewhere else.
