Gyeongju N Hanok Pension

I stayed here for the Gyeongju Marathon. It was good value and not too far from downtown, but the room was too small for two people. We checked in, went out to eat, then slept and checked out early, so it was a shame we only used the place to sleep and had to leave in the morning.

The owner didn’t seem very involved, which gave me a sense of freedom. It’s a spacious, comfortable hanok, and the room stayed warm, even hot, in winter. The property was clean and quiet, tucked away from things. The fan didn’t work, and the barbecue area didn’t clear the smoke well. They provided just one grill.

The place is clean, well maintained, and has parking. The owner and his wife are very kind, and every room has air conditioning. In the larger rooms, though, the living room unit is wall-mounted and seems a bit inefficient. The outdoor pool is a decent size and could fit 5 to 6 adults comfortably. Being featured on the TV show "I Live Alone" doesn’t come with any special events. The outdoor BBQ area is separate from the rooms, and the atmosphere there is just so-so, without much of a vibe. There’s a train track next to the property, and trains pass from time to time. Overall, I was satisfied and would like to visit again.

They’re rude. Don’t go if you don’t want to be treated rudely.
