I spent a week at the Brown Dot Hotel and found it quiet, with the room kept very clean. Housekeeping regularly left fresh towels and took the trash out. The staff were so friendly and focused on making the stay comfortable. My Korean is limited, but they could answer questions in English when I spoke clearly and slowly. When that didn’t work, they still helped by translating with an app. I’d recommend the Brown Dot Hotel to foreigners getting settled in a new country. Thanks to the staff, and I look forward to staying again.

The bathroom smelled like pee, and when I tried wiping the walls, my wipes came away dark yellow 💀. The sheets and towel were dirty, and so was the room. The mattress was really firm, enough to leave your back hurting. And the bugs were awful too.

Breakfast was nice, and we got a free upgrade to a premium suite on the top floor. We were glad we’d brought our own toothbrushes and toothpaste, since none were provided.

The lobby breakfast was okay, though there weren’t many choices, and getting to Central Park took us about 20-30 minutes. The place also felt a bit far from everything, and parking was tight. I wasn’t a fan of the room layout. The sink was outside the shower and toilet area, right beside the bed. There was only one towel when we checked in, and when we called for another at night, the worker said they were alone at the front desk and couldn’t leave. We were given just one room key as well, so if you got locked out, a worker would have to come let you in.
