Grand Bern Hotel

The rooms matched the photos, were clean, and had strong water pressure. The tub was a nice bonus. Breakfast included croissants from the Crossiant Boutique, but the receptionist was also serving and kept topping things up, so please take only what you can finish. Some guests ate there and then took away another big plate. Give that receptionist some appreciation and love! The staff spoke English well, much better than most people we encountered in Busan. We chose the hotel as a base for Yeongdo island, Taejongdae, Nampo, and busan station. Other destinations take more than 30 minutes, and getting to Haeundae takes over an hour, so plan for that. You're also staying among shipyards and a marine industrial area.

There was more in the room than I expected, including two computers and a jacuzzi, along with everything else you need. It was a nice surprise to find all those amenities. I've seen people complain about the location, but getting around is easy if you know how to use the bus.

The room was spacious, with a good view and strong shower pressure. But there was no closet, and nowhere to put clothes in the bathroom, which made the room setup inconvenient. Breakfast was a very bad 1/10, just croissants, coffee, and cereal. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at 11 a.m., so you're paying for less than a full day.

The rooms and views were incredible, and it felt like very good value. There's lots of space and useful in-room facilities, so it's great with kids. The bath was the biggest I've ever seen, with a view like a postcard.
