Haeundae Seacloud Hotel Residence

The view from my room on the 29th floor was very nice, and the service responded pretty quickly. The hotel is right in the middle of Haeundae's busy city center, which is a great location. I do think the hotel and rooms need renovation. I also think there should be security in the elevators and a security guard in the rooms.

Waking up to the sea each morning was lovely, and the location is quite good. The place is spacious and has the amenities you need. The shower area is kind of tight, though, with not enough room to put clothes.

We booked a sea view room, but could only see part of the sea, about halfway. Calling that a sea view feels misleading. The room itself was very dirty. There was someone else's hair and unidentified stains on the sheets, the remote was sticky and visibly dirty, the floors were sticky, and the bathroom had a strong unpleasant smell. The information booklet was dirty and sticky too, and said clean bed linen could be ordered separately for around 30,000 KRW. Having to pay extra for clean sheets in a hotel is unacceptable. Clean bedding should be standard. I sincerely don't recommend this hotel.

The location is what earned the two stars. The room smelled funky, and the air conditioner stopped working at 10pm, then blew hot air instead of turning off. When I asked at the front desk, the guy casually said that's what the AC does after 10pm. It was April and I was sweaty. Imagine how summer would be. He said we could open the window, but no wind came into our room. I also got bitten by a mosquito overnight and was extremely uncomfortable. It was a very bad stay. I really question the four-star rating. I do not recommend it.
