We stayed one night after sign-off, and my colleagues and I had a good experience. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed. It's budget friendly, but sits on a hill, so you need to walk about 5 minutes downhill for transportation. The staff were very helpful and gave us tips on exploring the nearby area. Texas street is nearby for nightlife, drinks, music, and other stuff, but I wouldn't advise going alone. In a group, you can explore it.

The facilities are super old and gross. The hotel is on a hill, so you have to walk up and down to get transportation. The front desk attendant also works at their little store and often disappears. They sell microwavable food and claimed the food with melting plastic was edible. Maybe they don't care about plasticizer, no wonder...

Our arrival got off to a frustrating start. The rooms assigned to us hadn't been cleaned, and after we waited a while, the alternative room we were offered was dirty too. Moving from room to room was inconvenient, especially with the rooms on the 8th floor. The third room, at least, was clean and comfortable, with clean linens, comfortable beds, and a modern bathroom. Despite that initial problem, the stay at Hillside Hotel was positive overall. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Public transportation and nearby attractions were easy to reach, making the location convenient for exploring Busan.

The room is okay but very badly maintained, and the food is very ordinary. I'd rather eat at Macdonald or somewhere else than waste time on it. An average 2-star hotel, in my view. There are plenty of other hotels nearby that seem like better options at this price.

The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the station. The room is spacious, clean, and quiet, and having a 7-11 downstairs is handy for a midnight snack.
