The only things I liked were the location, right on Gwangalli beach with a centered view of the bridge, and the 21st-floor observation deck, which was nice for pictures. Beyond that, I can’t recommend it. This doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel, and it seems run down compared with how it may have been in the past. Our room was dirty, with only a basic surface clean. There were gross-looking stains on the upholstery and the inside of the window glass, and several patches of mold in the bathroom. The AC didn’t work no matter what temperature we set. We were told it was a king-sized bed, but there wasn’t even a mattress, just two box springs stacked together. The lobby felt abandoned. Pool and gym access cost extra, and that wasn’t disclosed ahead of time. We didn’t bother trying them. We’d booked four nights but left after the first, and got no refund. No one even asked why we were leaving early. I can’t understand the positive reviews, or think they must be out of date, because this wasn’t our experience.

The heater made the room extremely dry and uncomfortable, and we could easily hear noise from outside and the neighboring rooms. The front desk experience was disappointing too. When we brought up concerns, the staff came across as unfriendly and unhelpful, not professional. A lot of the rooms feel dated, and cleanliness fell short. The room seemed poorly maintained and had noticeable hygiene problems. It was the mix of aging rooms, low cleaning standards, and unsatisfactory service that made the stay so disappointing.

The room condition made the price feel hard to justify, especially compared with other hotels. It wasn’t clean, and we had to pick hair and dust off the bed before going to sleep. We’d booked two nights, but a blocked drain meant we had to move rooms. The view and location were absolutely amazing. Still, with the room in that state, I didn’t feel the price was worth it. 😅

The views are incredible, so it could work for a night or two, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer. The location and price are the only good parts. Staff were rude, and the £16 infinity pool charge isn’t included. The key card showed a 30% discount, but there wasn’t one. The cleaners don’t really clean: they straighten the bed but leave half-full coffee cups and dirty towels. And again, the staff were rude.

This is the ugliest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it isn’t worth the money. Even with an infinity pool reservation, the building layout makes it hard to get there, and the lockers don’t work properly. I was so upset. It doesn’t deserve even one star.
