Hotel Central Bay

The night view is beautiful, and the room itself is spacious. The bed was only a double, though, so it was a squeeze for me and my spouse. The bathroom has room to spare, but frosted glass on the shower and toilet doors would give you privacy while the other person uses the sink or bathtub. The air conditioner blows cold air down very strongly, and there’s no control to keep the blade pointing up.

The view over Gwangalli Beach and the bridge was incredible, and our room felt huge compared with the other hotels we stayed at in Korea. I did enjoy the stay, and the view helped make up for the front desk service. My friend asked for an extra pillow and towel, but both requests were denied. Given the price and type of accommodation, that didn’t feel acceptable.

The location and view were lovely, but the room and service let the stay down. On the first day I told the front desk the AC wasn’t working. They said it was fine and just needed a few hours, so I couldn’t sleep that first night. The shower pressure was weak, and there was no soap, shampoo, or similar supplies.

The only real plus for me was being right by the beach and bridge. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, since the facilities and service felt average at best. The toilet and shower seemed low quality. Water came out weakly, and the showerhead was wobbly. The AC made noise, with occasional loud sounds, and a triple room got only one hand towel. Bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, and shampoo, as none are supplied.
