Nol Guesthouse

Being right in the middle of one of Busan’s most popular street markets means there’s plenty to do as soon as you step outside. The room was nice, with heated floors, and the heater and AC both worked well. Self check-in was easy: they email you the entry code. The hostel is on the third floor, with no elevator. Staff were amazing, friendly, and approachable when they were there to clean. The bathroom could use some work. The hot water ran out after five minutes once, though it only happened that one time. One sink wasn’t properly connected, and after I brushed my teeth and spit into it, water started flowing onto the floor. With self check-in, there’s no one to ask right then. The WiFi password was correct, but it took me a minute to figure out which network to use.

Nol Guesthouse was super clean, the beds were really comfortable, and check-in was easy. The boss was incredibly kind and helped me when I needed it, which I really appreciated. I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

It’s a laid-back guest house where you can get an inexpensive bed. Just be aware that there’s no elevator, and you’ll have to carry your luggage up to the fourth floor. Heavy bags take some effort!

The room had no windows, smelled moldy, and had no air to breathe. Street noise and sounds from all the party places went on through the night. There was no room for luggage, and nobody was at reception. Instead, you’re supposed to call a number, which is difficult with a foreign phone and mobile data only. The worst hostel I stayed in in South Korea. Never again.
