Prima hotel Busan

The service was the best part of my two-night stay at hotel prima. Everyone was friendly and helpful, especially Hanim, who brought us extra towels and showed us how to work the room remote. The room felt a little dated, and breakfast was very simple. It’s near the airport, though there aren’t many restaurants close by. I’d recommend it for a short stop before a flight.

For the price, I’d stay here again. The hotel is close to the west bus station and airport, though it’s a long way from the city centre, and the industrial area nearby can be noisy. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub, digital toilet, lots of cosmetics and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is self-service, with a nice range of bakery items, noodles and kimchi.

We ended up leaving without unpacking and booked somewhere else in a better location. After three attempts to give us a room, each one had issues, and we didn’t even try to get a refund. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you care about cleanliness or are sensitive to smoke. Cozy Tree Hotel was much more comfortable and newly built at the time of writing. The biggest problem was the smell of cigarette smoke. The first room, described as an upgrade and supposedly smoke-free, smelled of smoke, as did the next two rooms we were assigned. We noticed open doors and windows in the rooms we saw, apparently to air them out, and there was a perfume stand in the lobby. The beds, desks and computers were dusty, and the rooms felt damp, as if they hadn’t been used in a long time. The location is in an industrial area without sidewalks, which could be difficult with lots of luggage. We arrived before the 5 pm check-in to leave our bags, but the woman at reception told us to leave them in the lobby, where they didn’t feel secure. When we came back at check-in, our bags were still there, but no one was at the desk. The sign said to call, but we only had phone data as foreigners, so we had to wait 25 minutes for the woman to come down. She apologized. After the smoke issues, when we asked to return to our original room, we got a call telling us not to touch anything and to move again.

The front desk woman had no empathy, and the way she handled things left me with a bitter feeling. The hotel is also quite far from anything to do. Worst of all, cigarette smoke came through the vents no matter which room you were in. I coughed all night and into the morning. I won’t come back.
