Shin Shin Hotel

The hard bed and sticky feeling of the bathroom water after showering weren't great, and I didn't get a good night's sleep. Every morning, cars and trucks beeped while unloading fruit and vegetables for the day's market, waking me up. I'd suggest staying across the main road instead. It's livelier, with lots of food and restaurant choices, and things stay open late, so you can sleep in after a long day or night out.

We stayed a few nights and had no complaints. The staff were excellent, and the room was spacious for a budget stay. The hotel isn't modern, but it's well maintained and conveniently close to a subway station, with plenty of amenities within walking distance. I'd stay here again.

The room was huge and had a big bathroom, and the price was cheap. The employees were kind and helpful. We called because there were two body washes but no shampoo, and they came right over to replace them. Breakfast was good, mostly savory rather than a super European spread. It's near the center and easy to get around.

For the price, this hotel was good value, and our room had the things you'd expect from a four-star place: two double beds, a TV, WiFi, a computer, a bathtub, a shower, and a toilet with a water-cleaning feature and air dryer that can be switched off. The computer only worked in Korean, so it wasn't useful for foreigners. For some reason that I don't think was directly the hotel's fault, toilet paper couldn't be flushed and had to go in the bin beside the toilet, which some people may not like. The shower and tub barely had any splash protection, so each shower left the whole bathroom wet. Not great if you walked in with dry feet afterward. We were booked for four people but got only two small and two large towels. We asked for more twice, on the evening we arrived and again the next morning, and eventually had to get them ourselves. The receptionist either didn't understand us well or was too busy. Either way, it was disappointing.
