Sohostel Korea

The 7th-floor common area is spacious and lovely, with room to work or relax. At sunset the owner lights aromatic candles, and there are books, board games, and plenty of fridge space for food. The beds are comfortable, it's quiet, and other guests are respectful. Sohostel is run by a kind, helpful Korean family, and it's always spotless and welcoming. They really try to make you comfortable. Once I needed a charger and they did everything they could to help, which I appreciated. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryers, and toothpaste are provided. I forgot my toothpaste, so that came in handy. The WIFI works perfectly, too. Follow the simple house rules and be respectful, and you'll feel cared for here. You can bring your own sleepers or flipflops if you don't like walking barefoot, though the place is spotless. I've stayed at Sohostel several times over the past year, and it feels like a home away from home.

The space is quite large for the price, with a big dining room and bathroom, even though they're on separate floors. The front desk staff were very kind, but another staff member left a bad impression. There were still a few minutes before checkout when she went straight to my bed, took my key, and told me to leave. I've stayed in hostels in many countries and never been ushered out like that. The equipment is fairly basic: the bunk bed makes noise and there's no bathroom door. At this price, I think the value is okay.

The staff treated me like family and went out of their way to help every time. During a year of travel, this has been one of the best hostels I've stayed at. The facilities are among the best I've experienced. The kitchen felt like a professional Gordon Ramsey setup, the beds were soft and comfortable, and the common room had a Nintendo Switch and PS4. You couldn't ask for more. If you're staying in Busan, this is the place. Highly, highly recommended!

It's a nice, clean hostel with kind, helpful staff, and it's surprisingly underrated. Busan Station is only a three-minute walk away, so getting around by bus or train is easy, while the area itself stays quiet. Highly recommended!
