Toyoko Inn Busan Jungang Station

A good value if, like us, you mainly want somewhere comfortable to sleep while exploring Busan. Bus stops and train access are right in front, so sightseeing was easy, and there's a convenience store next door. Breakfast includes traditional Korean dishes, with especially tasty fish cake. The amenities covered what we needed day to day, and the yukata pajamas were a nice touch. We were on the 16th floor, with a great view of Busan Tower from the window. We had a very pleasant stay.

I booked two rooms, one double and one with twin beds. The rooms were on the small side, and the pillows felt quite firm and uncomfortable. The air was very dry, and the humidifier in the room didn't seem to do much. In the double room, the sink drained very slowly. The labels had peeled off the conditioner, shampoo, and body wash bottles. Breakfast was included, which was a nice extra. They served fish cake skewers as a local touch, the curry was decent, and the machine coffee was strong and good. One plus is that the price doesn't go up in peak season.

I've stayed at six Toyoko Inn locations now, and they've been reliable every time. Rooms are small but clean and have what you need. There's always staff around if something comes up, and everyone here was friendly and accommodating. The nightly rate is hard to beat, and breakfast was great as usual. For this location, buses stop right outside. It's between two subway stations, so it's a good base for sightseeing if you don't mind walking a bit.

Just a standard, inexpensive hotel in Busan, good for a shower and a night's sleep. Clean and comfortable, with a simple, efficient setup. Breakfast is great for the price.
