Cheonan Vue Hotel

I've stayed here three times lately. The place is quiet and pleasant, though you can sometimes faintly hear trains, and that never got in the way of relaxing. The staff are really friendly, and there's free coffee at the front desk if you need a pick-me-up. Breakfast is complimentary and popular, so you'd better get up early before the food runs out. In the room, there's a big TV with NETFLIX and soft lighting, which made it easy to unwind. They also have a business area for printing in the basement, plus laundry and a dryer.

There were quite a lot of ants, which was the one drawback. Otherwise, this was a fully equipped hotel with great value, and the best place I stayed during my cross-country trek. I even heard they received a national medal.

The room was so hard to sleep in, even with my clothes on, and my skin got itchy. It looked nothing like the photos. The bathroom had mold, there were bugs on the windowsills, and the bed sheets smelled musty. The staff weren't rude, but they didn't seem to understand cleanliness or hygiene. Even the toilet plunger was left beside the elevator.

Breakfast is served downstairs in the main building, and the counter staff are friendly. The place has two buildings and a cafe right next door. Just north of Dujeong Station, it has clean, modern facilities that feel more like a boutique hotel than a motel. Standard rooms have a fridge, TV, hairdryer, iron, phone charger, and coffee pot, plus complimentary drinks and bottled water in the fridge. Premium rooms come with either a styler or a massage chair. The bathrooms have tubs but no bidets. The rooms are in excellent shape, and I highly recommend staying here.
