Getting there was the only tricky part for me since buses are limited and a taxi may be necessary. Once there, I found it truly pleasant, with very good service and a lovely atmosphere in South Korea.

The rooms and bathrooms are simple, but clean, and the host was friendly and helpful. He can prepare food if you want it. I first came in 2016 and returned in 2017, when the service seemed even better. The quiet surroundings and beautiful scenery add to the charm, as does grilling outdoors at night. It was an awesome experience, and a couple of Korean TV shows have filmed here too.

After visiting Legoland, I stayed overnight here. The building looked pretty in the morning, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was available too.

The owner built the hanok himself, and it looks lovely. With a stream right out front, there’s always a chance to play in the water. Meals are affordable at 20,000 won per person for charcoal-grilled dakgalbi, side dishes, and rice, with soju at 4,000 won. Guests help clean up afterward. Dinner is shared, so even dining alone doesn’t feel lonely. The owner naturally gets everyone talking, starting with introductions. It’s a charming hanok guesthouse where families or solo travelers can eat affordably.
