Chuncheon Ritz Hotel

This place felt like a really run-down inn. The stale cigarette smell was awful. I asked for deodorizer and sprayed it, but it didn’t help at all. My Chuncheon trip was ruined. For this price, I’d slept comfortably in quality hotels in Uijeongbu and Seoul. Anyway, it was the worst.

The housekeeping was clean and friendly, and the parking lot was spacious. A large deluxe room is 45,000 won, which is great value, while a standard room costs 30,000-35,000 won. Everything else was fine, apart from the squeaky bed. There was no bidet in the bathroom.

The rooms were among the worst I’ve ever seen in a motel. Also, don’t assume the low price applies all the time, since it goes up to 80,000 won on weekends.

I came here for the twin bed, even though it’s a motel. The price was reasonable and the place was decent. It was close enough that I walked to Myeongdong Dakgalbi Alley, and a taxi there would only cost the minimum fare. There are comic books to borrow on each floor, plus a coffee machine and drink dispenser downstairs on the first floor.
