No 25 Signature Centum

The location is a real plus: close to the subway and with decent shopping nearby. My sister and I stayed here on a previous trip, and check-in seemed fine. The front desk staff communicated with us normally in English. The problem came the next day. We told the desk we didn’t need room cleaning before heading out, and they appeared to check our records. Still, the room had been cleaned by the time we got back. Our luggage was open and we hadn’t unpacked, so our things had been moved during cleaning. When we asked the night shift staff member at the desk, the same man who had checked us in, he seemed to realize they’d made a mistake. Then he stopped speaking English and only spoke Korean. His attitude was awful, as if he was saying, “So what?” He seemed to think he could just drop it because we couldn’t communicate in Korean. My sister isn’t very fluent, but she understands most of it, and she said he kept saying, “Okay, so what?” and didn’t want to talk to us at all. I hadn’t planned to write a review, but maybe this will help someone. I honestly can’t recommend the place. Think carefully before staying unless you’re okay with your privacy not being respected, being disturbed every day, or leaving important belongings in the hotel.

I booked for December, then they told me on their own that they planned to raise the price, probably even higher, and asked me to cancel the reservation I already had. That feels extremely malicious, practically like fraud.

The room assignment was random, and it had two single beds, which felt awkward since I was there with my boyfriend. I paid 20,000 won on a special walk-in rate. Hot water worked well, and the non-smoking room smelled nice. They called me to check out at 12:30.

The place was clean and had air conditioning. Toiletries were supplied, though there weren’t any shower towels.
