After I said I could wait for a room with a view, the front desk changed the story and said they might not have enough staff to clean the suites at all. Before that, she’d said they were fully booked and couldn’t say when one would be ready. I got fed up and told her to be straight with me if she was lying or simply didn’t want to give us the room. I mentioned I might escalate it, and suddenly there was a cleaned room ready for us.

We decided at the last minute to stay in a two-bedroom apartment facing the slopes. It had only two single beds and no kitchen appliances. The place was a little old, but cozy. There’s a small grocery store and a game zone on the first floor. The restaurants close earlier than usual.

Speaking Korean makes things easier here. Otherwise, you may struggle with the poor English communication. The staff came across as passive and reluctant, which made me feel unwelcome. Also, staying at the resort only gets you a discount on the gym, spa, and other facilities. You still have to pay extra to use them. Come for skiing, but I wouldn’t stay here.

Outside, the building looks beautiful and the surroundings are fantastic, but inside it feels old and worn. The air conditioning barely worked, so it got really hot. We complained and asked for fans. They brought two, but one was broken.
