Legoland Korea Resort

We drove four hours round trip from Seoul and left early, feeling frustrated. During winter, nearly all the rides close because of the “cold surge,” so it wasn't worth the trip. I wouldn't visit this park even in summer. There was a Christmas lucky draw, and we won an annual theme park pass. Since we're foreigners, we hoped to exchange it for a LEGO set of equal or lesser value, but staff said they couldn't help and gave us two children's umbrellas instead. One was faulty. Getting it swapped took another 30 minutes because of the language barrier and the awkward staff process, and we felt taken advantage of and as though the park didn't cater to foreigners. I wish the staff had tried harder to arrange a swap with someone who wanted the annual pass. They could also reserve some prizes instead of passes or one-day tickets, for cases where foreign winners can't use them, or ask later winners if they'd take the pass and let us choose something else. Other theme parks in Korea usually keep all their rides open in winter, so spend your money elsewhere.

On Saturday, 13 Dec 2025, we went in winter. Only indoor attractions were running; all outdoor activities were closed, so there seemed to be fewer than 500 people in the park that day. It was rainy with a little snow, but that was fine. We could get food without congestion or queues. With 70% of the attractions closed, I won't come back in winter.

The rooms were fun and nice, and came with some great complimentary items. We all found something to eat at the breakfast buffet and restaurant, and felt comfortable there. The staff and robots were nice too. A great experience.

This was our second visit with my three toddlers, and this time we added the hotel stay. The boys had so much fun that it felt worth the price. We also bought the winter pass and are thinking about upgrading it to a full-year pass.
