Lohas Guesthouse

The room had a clean, sentimental look, and the view from the window was so peaceful. From the moment I opened the door, the whole place felt warm and calm. Lohas Guesthouse really captures Chuncheon. It wasn’t just a place to stay, it felt like rest itself. The owner made a big impression on me. Their care for each guest felt sincere, the rooms were prepared with real attention, and even the small details showed thoughtfulness. Their kindness and consideration quickly melted away my travel fatigue.

Unlike the quiet places to stay nearby, this spot has parties every evening and a Yangyang Beach Club kind of atmosphere. A lot of young people come individually. If you want a quiet rest, though, it may leave you wishing for a little more.

The common area was fun, with a massage chair and a game of Halli Galli, and the room itself was cute with its bunk beds. The BBQ party costs 15,000 won per person, and they set everything up, even the pre-grilled pork belly. You just grill it and eat, which was great. Breakfast comes with free bread and cup noodles, too. The friends who slept on the top bunk developed skin breakouts, so I think the bottom bunk would be better. I’m taking off one star for that.

We asked for BBQ and it was delicious. They even gave us extra meat as a service, which was the best. The morning canoeing on Lake Chuncheon was also great, even though the weather wasn’t good. Feeling the breeze while paddling was nice, and the boat ride they gave us was exciting and fun. I highly recommend it. We stayed at Namuhyangga, where the bedding cleanliness was disappointing. The mattress looked dirty, so we didn’t use it and slept on the duvet instead. Before we could use it, we had to vacuum and shake it out ourselves. There was dirt and dust on the window sills as well. If they can fix that one thing, it would be a 10-star experience.
