The bathroom is huge, and I liked that it had a magic wand, but the shower and bathtub are old. I booked Brown Dot Hotel and was disappointed. It looks like an old motel with a Brown Dot sign, and I’m not sure whose sign is on the first floor, but there are signs all over. The owner seems to collect classic items.

I always stay at Brown Dot, and it’s consistently clean wherever I go. The places feel modern and have a nice atmosphere, so they haven’t disappointed me. This time they upgraded my room, which was spacious and clean.

A walk in the park behind the hotel was a nice bonus, with cherry blossoms, magnolias, and a very unusual Angry Birds playground. Inside, the industrial look runs through the rooms and shared areas, which gives the place a distinctive feel. My room was roomy, with a computer, and the bathroom had a big tub and a hemorrhoid-free toilet. There’s a convenience store nearby, handy in this industrial area. The floor could’ve been cleaned better: a previous guest’s spilled drink had dried sticky, and I stepped in it.
