Daegu Dongdaegu Station Hotel Pied

A simple breakfast is included, and the place seems to be run by the building's owner. It's right by the parking lot behind Dongdaegu Station, so it works well for business travelers catching the KTX to Daegu.

The rice was delicious, clearly made with good-quality grains. I also noticed a breakfast of bean sprout soup with just two pieces of pufferfish, which was called a special breakfast. The rooms could use more attention: the standard double had no hangers, no proper mirror beyond a small one over the sink, no chair for getting ready, and no bathroom slippers. Water pressure was weak, and a cart of towels kept rolling around in the hall. There were heavy cotton blankets, not goose down ones. I'm not trying to put the place down, but I hope they improve the facilities.

Breakfast includes pufferfish soup, which is worth trying. The room feels homey and spacious, with amenities provided and very powerful air conditioning. It's in a great location and made for a comfortable, pleasant stay.

The breakfast was especially clean and tasty, and they even gave us a good iced coffee when we checked out. The room was tidy and had a nice, Instagram-ready look, with roomy beds and pleasantly rustly bedding. There were lots of amenities, more than at many hotels. Checking in and out at the cafe was fun, and the price for all of this felt amazing. It was quiet and pleasant, with mostly business travelers around us and only us as a couple. The three female staff members I met were all very friendly. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Daegu.
