Daegu Suseongmot Dodo

The water pressure and facilities were great, and it’s a short walk from Suseong Lake. The place was really clean, including the bedding. If you’re in Daegu, I’d stay here and spend 60,000 won instead of choosing one of those 40,000 or 50,000 won motels. I really liked it, and this isn’t an ad.

At 40,000 won for a weekday standard room, it felt like poor value. The photos make the place look neat and stylish, but although there’s individual heating, it seemed to be turned off in winter. The thermostat showed 25 degrees, yet I was wearing a fleece jacket in the room. Tiny bits of dust were floating around on the floor. There was no electric blanket, the mattress had no cushioning, and there wasn’t an outlet or phone charger by the bed. It felt more like a typical 30,000 won place. There were lots of cars coming and going late at night, perhaps because it’s in a residential area near Suseongmot Lake. It seems geared toward large groups and focused on low prices.

Comfortable and warm, though the room is a little small.

The owner was friendly, and the place felt cozy. I can get a comfortable night's rest here.
