A calm place.

The staff were very kind when I raised the cold room issue, and moved us from the north-facing corner room to a south-facing one, which was much better. The first room was extremely cold, 12 degrees Celsius, and only reached 13-14 after 30 minutes with the ceiling fan running. We likely won't return in winter because of that, though the fan ran all night and the room eventually got to 22-23 degrees Celsius. There's an electric blanket on the bed. This old, cozy hotel has a charming, elegant exterior and a great location by Palgongsan Mountain. The new building going up nearby looks a bit unsightly, like it's been left unfinished. It would be nice in spring, summer, or fall. The old outdoor theater is gone, and the cable car area seems quieter than before. It's affordable, and I hope it stays there a long time.

My parents came with acquaintances, but no one was at the front desk, and the ondol room floor was freezing. We asked for it to be fixed, but it only warmed briefly and then stopped working. When we complained about the cold floor, the staff got angry and said we were nitpicking. The breakfast in the picture, three slices of bread, eggs, and a dark salad that didn't look fresh, cost 25,000 won. I really don't recommend this place. Don't go.
