Seong Dong Jang

Duryu Park, including the Seongdong Pool, is close by, and we enjoyed walking and relaxing there. We happened to visit during cherry blossom time. The hotel isn't right in the town centre, but Daegu's metro and buses make getting around easy. The nearest metro stop is about a five-minute walk, and the route was simple even with our bags. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived early, but the owner kindly let us leave our luggage and use the shower. The room itself was tidy and very clean, with hot water, plenty of bottled water, toiletries and other supplies. The electric blankets were great. It's a cute, cosy place. There are quite a few stairs, though some rooms are on the first floor for accessibility. One thing to keep in mind: my Australian Visa debit card wouldn't work for check-in payment. It worked elsewhere in the country, so it may help to have cash or another card as backup.

For the price, the room was really good: spacious, very clean, and stocked with a fridge and drinking water. It's also very near the bus station and subway. I'd recommend it.

The two ladies were helpful and didn't get in the way. There's a great community park nearby, as well as the subway and bus station. A lovely place.
