Donghae Boyang Hot Spring Convention Hotel

I went to swim, and the pool wasn’t crowded, which made it nice for practice and exercise. The admission felt a little steep if you’re only there to swim. The building’s interior looks dated, but the facility is clean and maintained well. Since it was late and I had no other plans, I happened upon the restaurant on the 7th floor. That was a pleasant surprise: the meal came in a traditional style with a variety of vegetable sides, tasted good, and was reasonably priced. I’d go back to the restaurant.

The location was great, and the staff were kind and professional. But my ondol-style room wasn’t clean enough. The floor and bathroom needed more attention, there were odd stains around the bathroom, and some towels were stained too. With cleaner rooms and a bit more renovation, this place could be great. That’s my perspective as a European.

The hot spring spa was the highlight after a day of sightseeing. It was clean and relaxing, just what we wanted to unwind. Donghae Boyang Hot Spring Convention Hotel worked out really well for our East Coast trip. The hotel has a classic look, and our room was spacious with large windows facing the mountains.

The restaurant upstairs has a great view, and the beach is within walking distance. The rooms are roomy, the beds comfortable, and guests can use the sauna, indoor and outdoor pools, and fitness center. I stayed in July 2024. For a single night, the price felt a bit high, and the shower head in my bathroom was broken. Water sprayed from the hose, and it wouldn’t stay upright, so washing my hair was difficult. If you’re splitting the cost with another person, I think it’s worth staying here if you’d rather avoid camping or an older pension.
