We stayed in early October, and the mosquitoes made it the worst place I've stayed so far. They gave us coils to burn, and I lit two in our small room, but I still spent the whole night catching mosquitoes and wondering where they were coming in. I caught 18, yet my husband and I were still bitten, and I never got any sleep. When I mentioned it to the owner the next morning, all I got was, “It can't be helped.” I can't say what it's like in spring or winter, but during mosquito season, think carefully before booking.

The pension was spotless, and there was a lovely coffee shop. It's right beside the picturesque Gamchusa Beach, with charming cliffs along the shore.
