Nine Tree Hotel Myeongdong

It's right in the middle of Myeongdong, with everything close by. Even with such a central spot, it was surprisingly quiet at night and comfortable for sleeping. Getting around is easy and convenient, and I'd gladly stay again.

One staff member, I think her name was Faye, helped track down my bag after I lost it on an airport limousine bus. Unfortunately, I had to collect it away from the hotel or airport, which was difficult with our packed travel schedule. Otherwise, the location was convenient for food and shopping. It was busy, but the lifts were fine, unlike those at some other Seoul hotels.

The location is why we booked: right in the middle of the Myeongdong area and night market, with restaurants, shops, and things to do just outside at almost any time of day. A subway entrance is very close too. We were on the 16th floor in a corner room and had a very nice view. The room was very clean and had what we needed, though it was small enough that opening a full suitcase was tricky but doable. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning felt great after hot days, and the shower had a choice of rain head or handheld. The bathroom was separate from the shower area, which was nice. The TV in our corner room sat off to the side and was hard to watch. Screen mirroring was available, but all the TVs had the same name, and there were ten options, so it was hard to find the right one. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were very nice. Most spoke English. They offer free luggage storage for 12 hours after checkout, which helped us. There are only two small elevators for the whole hotel, so sometimes the wait could be a while. There was one laundry machine, but it was in use so much while we were there that we never got to use it. We'd definitely stay again.

The rooms were nice, and it was easy to get to the night market and transport. The airport bus and metro are just steps away. We arrived at night while the market was busy, but getting to the hotel was still straightforward since it's at the edge of the market area.
