Being right by the beach was the one real plus, and the view from the 6th-floor “Ocean View Double Bed” rooms is nice. But the place is in rough shape. Things are old, damaged, and patched up poorly, with strange stains or faded spots on the wallpaper and floor. Our friend’s room next door looked just as bad as ours. We stayed two nights and housekeeping never came. We had to ask for clean towels and water bottles. I’ve stayed in motels that were cleaner and nicer for less money.

I’d booked because I liked the location and had high hopes, but trouble started at check-in. They couldn’t find my reservation with either the booking number or my name. The room wasn’t tidy or clean, and the beds weren’t clean either. The supposed “sea view” was underwhelming, maybe a 2 out of 5. I left feeling really disappointed.

The staff were friendly, and the view is beautiful. The hotel itself feels quite dated and doesn’t really meet what I’d expect from a 4-star place. Beyond those positives, there isn’t much going for it.

The rooms are simple, but clean and cozy in winter. You’re right across the road from the seaside, with a lovely view, especially at sunrise. Staff were out of the office for most of our stay, though we didn’t really run into any problems.
