Gangneung Cats motel

The sashimi restaurant on the motel’s first floor was actually pretty good. The room itself felt small, though, and a smell of cigarette smoke from downstairs drifted into the bathroom. Opening the door and running the bathroom fan helped, or maybe I just got used to it. I thought that might be expected for a 45,000 won standard room, but I was still disappointed. I can’t recommend the place.

The rooms are in terrible shape and need remodeling badly. Even at a reasonable price, the quality is awful, and the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I can usually overlook things when a place is cheap, but not this. I’m sure booking here would mean your partner nags you. With motels, it seems better to pay a bit more for a remodeled or newly built place.

I often stay here when I take a vacation at home because it’s close to my house and I don’t have air conditioning. You need to install an air conditioner to receive support. Even in peak season, the place holds its value well. A taxi to the beach costs around 5,000 won anyway, so I’d call and ask about the price.

For the price, it’s a decent place, and the price and location are good. But there were long women’s hairs on the bed, in the bathroom, and on the towels. They should pay a little more attention to cleaning.
