Our room was roomy, with two toilets and even a massage bed in the living room. Getting to the ski slopes was a short drive, and High1 hotel guests get discounts on lift passes and ski gear. There’s a casino downstairs too. The best part of the stay was the housekeeping team’s help after we checked out. We’d left our Kobo reader on the bed, and the staff member handling it offered to send it to Singapore at no cost. Sorting that out took a while because of the language gap and shipping rules for battery-operated items, but the team stayed patient and thorough. Thanks especially to Lee Jung Hwa, who made two trips to the post office to help. Luckily, a friend in Seoul was able to collect it for us in the end. We stayed 2-4 Dec 2025. Thanks to everyone at High1 for the care. We’d happily come back.

The free shuttles made it easy to reach the ski lifts and head to Sabuk or Gohan for dinner. We also got vouchers for dining, plus 40% off ski lifts and 30% off rentals. This was our third visit to High1, mainly for better skiing and fewer crowds. We booked a Suite for four adults at a very reasonable rate. It was huge, with a separate sitting area, though it had two queen beds and no single-bed option. The Grand Hotel has an old-school 1980s luxe feel, and the dining can get very expensive. We often went to the Garden cafe for its bread basket (11000 won) and latte (9000 won). A good pick for beginner skiers and families. It’s about a three-hour drive from Incheon.

This is a high-end resort, with ski and water parks, rather than a regular hotel. There are only two restaurants on site, though. It took about 2.5 hours to get here from Seoul, and I drove ten minutes to a nearby village for KFC and other things.

The shuttle to the ski house was lovely, and the view was amazing. I had a big room with a comfortable bed, and the service was good. Breakfast at the buffet was great too, especially the homemade Yogurt.

There’s quite a bit to do here, from the daisy field and cable car or sky lift to the casino and yoga. I came to try the yoga experience and had a really good time. The hotel was very nice and super clean 😄
