Gapyeong Mir Pension

We had such a lovely, relaxing stay at mir pension, right beside the river, and the rooms were very comfortable. Mr Han was so kind to us and drove us to Nami Island, where we had a great day. There are plenty of activities nearby, and having our own bbq was a real plus.

Mr. Han is a fantastic host, and I’d recommend Mir's Pension to anyone visiting Gapyeong. He has the feel of a silly but super-friendly uncle with a cottage. The tour bus makes it easy to reach major places like Nami Island, and Mr. Han was also kind enough to drive us and suggest restaurants and things to do. I’d definitely stay at Mir's Pension again.

We went with a very large family in February 2018, during the coldest winter in years. This is a good spot for people who love nature and a rustic setting. The river runs beside the pension, though it was frozen while we were there, and there’s a coffee house about 150 meters across from it. The accommodation was beautiful and clean. The decor is a bit of a mashup of themes, which might bother someone with OCD. The location is some distance from town, but Mr. Han offered rides for an extra 10,000 won per trip. He was very helpful, gave us free pickup and drop-off at Gapyeong Station on the Gyeongchun line, the nearest train station to Seoul, and even offered to move us to another room without charge.

The view is lovely, the place is very clean, and the owners are kind.
