We had a bonfire in the evening, and the private, quiet setting made the stay feel relaxing. The staff were very friendly from check-in through check-out, and the barbecue area and cooking utensils were ready to use. Our newly built room felt clean and modern, with a beautiful view of the Bukhan River through the window. The view was even better in person than in the photos, and I could happily sit there looking out for hours. The pool is cold by default, with an extra charge for warm water, and it’s open from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, so check the hours ahead of time. I stayed one night at Gapyeong V10 Pool Villa Pension and was really satisfied. It felt like a peaceful choice for couples or families, especially if you want a wide river view and time to unwind.

The room rate is a little high, but going with your partner could make for a perfect shot of a lifetime. The open view right outside the room makes everything else fade away.

In room 6, the interior was well put together and the view was excellent. There was some mold around the silicone by the kitchen sink, but otherwise no major problems. You need to bring and prepare all your own food, and convenience stores and supermarkets are hard to get to. There’s also nowhere nearby to take a walk. The biggest issue is the cost: a private villa is 650,000 won on weekends and holidays. At that price, I’d probably choose a nice resort or hotel instead, so I don’t think I’ll come back during peak weekend season.

We were so comfortable here that one day didn’t feel like enough, so as soon as we arrived we extended the stay by another day. I’d read a review calling the owner a bit tsundere and wondered about it, but they were actually very attentive. While we grilled meat, a black cat showed up and seemed as if it wanted to help too. We got a great rest. Just be a little careful on the way there if it’s your first visit. I’d recommend this quiet place to anyone looking to relax.
