Geoje Art Nouveau Suite Hotel

The food was a highlight. We had a wonderful evening at the hotel restaurant, where the dishes were cooked just right, the portions were generous, and the prices were good. Breakfast also had a nice mix of Korean items, salads, fruit, and Western-style options. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed, which was just the right amount of soft for me. The staff were helpful and spoke English very well, so communication should be easy for English speakers. It’s within walking distance of GoHyeon bus terminal if you’re arriving from Seoul, and a short taxi ride from P.O.W. Camp Historical Park, which is worth a day out. The hotel is called Art Nouveau, by the way, so I’m not sure why a different name is showing up. For Korean hotel prices, it was great value.

I stayed here while working at the Samsung yard. There’s a shuttle from the hotel to the yard, and the town’s shops and local restaurants are about a five-minute walk away if you want to try local food. The hotel was good, and the restaurant served good food too, with pasta, steaks, and salads.

The location is the main reason I’d stay here again when I need to go to Geoje. It was clean, the service was kind, and the price was reasonable. A good place to stay.
