The beach is only a 3-5 minute walk away, and the cable car station is about a 10-minute drive. My family had a relaxing day taking the cable car to the beach. Even over Chuseok, the price was reasonable and felt like great value. The room seemed carefully maintained and was clean, though it had a strong odor. The cutlery worked, with a couple of small annoyances. I washed the dishes and brought my own grill, so it wasn’t a big problem. The shower didn’t drain well, though, and that should be fixed. I didn’t meet the owner, so I can’t say for sure how friendly he is. He seemed nice from the handwritten note in the welcome book and the warm text he sent that afternoon after checkout. I washed everything else before leaving, but only later remembered there was rice left in the rice cooker. Sorry I didn’t wash it. I had a really enjoyable day here. I was leaning toward a 4 because of the small shortcomings, but the warm feeling from the owner and the good value made it a 5 for me. If you’re after a higher-end place, you can pay more; for a good-value stay, you have to judge it on that basis. Even good hotels can have little issues if you look hard enough. I’d book again if I get the chance.
